My little place on the Interweb

In January 2005, I set off for a trip around half of Australia. This was at the suggestion of a friend, Trevor Currie, who was double-celebrating both his resignation from BT and his 50th birthday.

Including Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, the Ghan train, Darwin, Cairns and Brisbane but the highlight for me was the 8 nights we spent travelling up through the heart of the continent from Adelaide to Alice Springs with a group of 12 others and visiting places such as Coober Pedy, Kings Reach and, of course, Ayres rock (now known by its original name of Uluru).

More about this later.
