Dad - 1934 - 2019

Dad - William James Crane 'Jimmy' - passed away at Prince of Wales hospial in Bridgend on 13th October 2019. Six weeks earlier, he had been in a mild motoring incident but which had shocked him and caused him to be admitted to hospital. Although he was looked after well, with limited availability of home care available, he spent much longer in there than he should have. Eventually allowed home but many things had changed: He no longer had a car and had surrendered his driving licence and various deliveries - papers, milk, meals - were now organised for him which allowed him to continue to live in his house but without his car, he was trapped. Sadly, on 22nd September, he was found lying on the floor having fallen out of bed and had been unable to get up. An ambulance was called and he was admitted to Prince of Wales hospital where he remained until 13th October when he died.
