The first email message I read today was from the national lottery telling me there was 'exciting news about my ticket' and that I should logon to their website to see what this was all about. Eerily, I had only thought on Friday that I hadn't changed my address details on their site and thought maybe they had been trying to contact me but been unsuccessful.
By now, most of you reading this will think I am going to say 'I only won £10.00' but you would be wrong!
Just to explain, I have a 'standing order' of 1 draw per week using the same numbers I have used since the lottery started years ago.
So, I found my logon details and signed in but there was nothing obvious to say what, if anything, I had won but a bit of digging around, I found the reason for the email...
I had won £57.00.
Bang goes my dream of a couple of million.
Now, the real problem.... As I have won this princely sum using the same number I have had for years, do I now change them as they are unlikely to come up again?
However, that old chestnut (whatever that means) occurs to me - how bad will I feel if I do change them and next week they come up with the multi-million winner. Sick or what?
Oh the things that occupy ones mind nowadays...
