Spiggie beach with dog

This morning saw the departure of Lynda, Lee & kids after a week in the Isle of man.
That week went past pretty fast! They left at about 07:20 this morning and I kept an eye on the webcam from Manx Radio which watches the harbour to make sure the boat left on time - of course, with Lee's record of getting on the wrong boat (ask him about it!), there was no guarantee they were on it as it left but as they haven't returned to the house yet, I can only assume they are!

The week didn't produce the best weather but I certainly made use of my MNH membership - it's a bit like the National Trust but for the Island - by visiting all of the Island's attractions.

Sadly, it did highlight that there isn't too much on the Island to entertain children below a certain age. Of course, if it's sunny (hah!) then they can spend the time on the beach or eating ice creams in Peel but if it's overcast or wet, the options are limited.

Having said that we did do most things:
Laxey Wheel;
Manx Electric Railway (although only to Laxey as the line to Ramsey is closed this year for repair work & the mountain section doesn't open until 28th April for some reason!);
Castle Rushen (A fine show there!);
Cregneash & the Sound;
Steam railway to Port Erin;

So, all in all, a good week!
