Having spent almost 2 months on the Island now and waiting for the weather to improve, or at least warm up and dry out a little, I've now decided ona round trip to see friends and collect my bike (636) from London & move it up North. So, successfully negotiating both the Steam-packet and trainline websites, I've sorted out a one-way trip - first class, of course - from the Island on 4th March.
Hopefully arriving in London around tea time & staying with Alan close to where I used to live (oh it's so good saying that.. used to live) hen moving to Trevor's on the Wednesday for the rest of the week.
Other plans involve watching England beat Scotland on Saturday (fingers crossed), visiting my brother Brian & staying with Alan before heading to South Wales to stay with Mum & Dad before meeting Mark in N Wales for easter and his track day in Anglesey on Easter Saturday.
The nice part about leaving the bike on the 'mainland' (people from here will hate me for saying that!) is that I only have to get a foot passenger fare back from Liverpool which doesn't need to be booked in advance.
Well, that gets March out of the way.. By that time, there'll only be about 8 weeks to the TT.
