As usual, a last minute arrangement finds me on my way to the Outer Hebrides for a couple of weeks!
Departing Isle of Man on Tuesday, 20th July and riding to Oban for an overnight stop before boarding the ferry on Wednesday for Castlebay on Barra. After a couple of nights there, it's up to South Usit for 2 nights then to North Uist for one night in an attempt to visit the only pub in the Outer Hebrides in the 2009 Good Beer Guide, the Westford Inn. Another ferry to South Harris then a few days there before finishing in Stornoway.
Well, when I say finishing, I have to get home again and that is via Ullapool, stopping at the Clachaig Inn in Glencoe for a couple of nights then down the the Lake District for a final few nights before travelling back to the Island in time for the Manx Grand Prix.
Pretty hectic and, if I can, I want to try to fit in a trip to St Kilda!
I'll keep you informed - maybe. Depends on the weather and how much fun I am having!
