Have just returned from our second meeting with the promoter of the TTxGP where were were discussing the safety aspects of the new race to be run at the 2009 TT.
His name is Azhar Hussain and their website is at http://www.ttxgp.com and worth a look to see what it's all about..
Basically, it is a non-fossil-fuelled engine meaning it could be Hydrogen based or, more likely, battery-powered.
Of course, this always raises the images of milk-floats (for those people reading this that are old enough to remember them!) travelling around the TT course at less-than-impressive speeds but some of the prototypes have registered speeds of 130MPH.
It may be a good thing, it may be a bad thing, only time will tell but it's quite exciting to be involved in something that could be the future of the TT.
