I have just come back from a meeting with some of the parties concerned with the 'green' TT race planned for next year. It sounds quite interesting but there is a lot to do before it can take place.
For full details, check out http://www.ttxgp.com but basically it is a race for bikes using non carbon-based fuels i.e. NOT petrol or AvGas etc.
Such possibilities are battery power and Hydrogen powered but there doesn't appear to be too many Hydrogen ones involved at the moment.
More meetings are planned and, as far as the Marshals association are concerned, some more answers to the safety aspects need to be addressed but it was good to be at a meeting about something that could be the start of a whole new range of race possibilities.
