Having just got home from the day's racing, I have to confess this years MGP wasn't the easiest to be involved with. After last year's disappointment of having the senior race cancelled due to lack of marshals (something a lot of people still claim wasn't true) and with a terrible fortnight of weather which meant almost every practice was disrupted in some way and every race day was either delayed (sometimes up to 6 hours) or postponed.
It even saw everybody turn out for the start of the days racing only to be sent home at 10:00 with a statement that due to the weather, no racing would be going ahead today only to be asked to go out again for an 18:00 road closure with racing to follow at 18:45 and then be cancelled again just before 17:30 (again, due to the weather)
At least it meant we ended up in the Tynwald Inn early for our 'end of event' social but meant nobody could enjoy it too much as we had to be out again on Saturday morning.
All in all, with the pressure to ensure minimum manning levels of Marshals, atrocious weather and reduced races, it wont be remembered for the best MGP in history
