Leaving Chelmsford today and heading for Mick & Sue's place in Herne sees the end of phase 1 and the start (naturally) of phase 2 of the 'Beer fest trip 2008'. After a great week with the Penney's in Chelmsford, it's time to pack up and move on.
I really still haven't got the knack of packing just enough clothes and so the bergen (rucksack) still looks huge when packed.
Using the (bloody awful) M25 and travelling over the QEII bridge (free for motorcycles!), the signs for the M2 are appalling so I ended up on the M20 heading for Maidstone but fortunately knowing the route back to the north coast of Kent.
Arriving in Herne slightly later than I intended (must be the Manx influence coming out now), met up with Sue, Mick & Dave (Enfield) found we were booked into a Moroccan restaurant in Canterbury for 20:00 so a quick change & out again.
