First Visit to Canada
I first went to Canada on the 11th September 1976. It was the first time any of the UK family had visited our far-flung family.
During my time there, I stayed with Bill & Joy McGaughey in London, Ontario.
Joy was the Daughter of Don & Sally Gemmell.
Sally was the sister of my grandfather from Scotland - 'Pop' or 'uncle Bobby' to the Canadians - and Married Don Gemmell.
Joy & Bill had three sons: Cameron as the eldest and twins Tom & Don.
At the time of my visit, Cameron and Tommy were living away from home in Kitchener, some 100 miles north of London so there was plenty of room at home...
