In July 2010 I managed to visit the remainaing far-flung outpost of the Outer Hebrides and, more importantly, St Kilda, the most westerly point of the UK.
This was to be my last long trip on my Kawasaki 636, leaving the Isle of Man and riding to Oban for an overnight stay before the 5-hour ferry to Barra.
South Uist, Benbecula, North Uist and finally Harris & Lewis were all part of the journey over 12 days. It was while I was in Harris that I secured the day trip to St Kilda, still one of my best ever moments.
