We all know of the British obsession with the weather...
The Isle of Man is a great place to live - even in winter it has its attractions - but it is particularly annoying when the weather forecasters on the TV are advertising the telephone numbers of NHS Direct for those that may be suffering from Heat Stroke or other sun-related conditions when the weather forecast for us today is (taken from the government site):
Generally cloudy with scattered outbreaks of rain becoming more widespread this afternoon and turning heavier at times, still with a lot of hill fog and coastal mist or fog especially in the East and South of the Island. The moderate south-southwest or southerly winds will freshen. Highest temperatures ranging from 15C on windward coasts to 20C / 68F in sheltered northern parts.
and the outlook for tomorrow (Sunday) is:
Rain at first tomorrow but soon becoming mostly dry with sunny intervals developing.
As you can see, not great and, at the moment, I am sitting in a swirling mist cloud although at least I can now see the end of my garden!
