Not content with two Inguinal hernia's, I've now had an Umbilical Hernia operation!
After a delayed start due to strong winds in the north Irish sea and the cancellation of the ferry to Dublin on the Monday following the Manx Grand Prix, I eventually got away on the following day on a much earlier sailing - 07:00 - but at least it gave me more time to make the journey from Dublin to Westport.
Sadly, the journey wasn't the best I have ever undertaken as it rained for practically all of the 160+ miles!
Once again staying at the Helm in Westport Quay, I met up with Alan and Jim as I rode into the town and it didn't take me too long to unpack (empty rucksack onto bed/floor) and get into the swing of things - OK, I mean have a drink!
An entertainig couple of days including rides to some of the north west coast and almost losing my camera by leaving it in a cafe.
After a week in the north west of Ireland, I travelled south to stay with Mark, Mary and their three children near Ennis.
A great couple of days with lots of laughs and meeting up with Brian & Viv from the Hole in the Wall, Waterloo (London).
Yes, I actually made it to St Kilda - one of my personal ambitions fulfilled!
