This section is about the various places and events I have been lucky enough visit or be part of.
Some of them are only brief excursions while others are for longer periods the longest being Tokyo, Canada and Australia.
However, most of them are in or around the British Isles where I still believe there is a huge amount to see and do!
The picture above is me on Spiggie Beach in the Shetland snow in February 2009. The dog was called 'Peps' and belonged to the hotel owner, Keith Massey.
Some of the articles are 'stubs' to remind me I need to find more information about the holiday and sometimes even the date isn't clear!
As part of my trip to Shetland in Jan/Feb 2009, I had arranged to stay at a hotel in the South Mainland called the Spiggie Hotel.
In ?, I went on holiday to Portugal with Steve Jolley.
He had just finished the latest album by Imagination and wanted a break - I had enough A/L left and he invited me to join him.
We stayed at Praia Da Rocha in a very nice chalet
In January 2005, I set off for a trip around half of Australia. This was at the suggestion of a friend, Trevor Currie, who was double-celebrating both his resignation from BT and his 50th birthday.
November 16th was the date of the reunion of members of the I.L.T.M.S (later Primex) group from BTI (British Telecom International).
Held as usual near Old Street in the centre of London, this year saw a number of new faces in attendance which included Martin Cooper, Phil Gerry and Terry Keslake; Tony Seward as well as the regulars like Tom Day, Dennis Gardener, Tom Goddard, Dave Smith plus, of course, Roy Foord who organises the whole thing.
Thanks Roy and look forward to next years.
Ireland 2010
A trip to Westport and 'the Helm' followed by a few days near Ennis..
In July 2010 I managed to visit the remainaing far-flung outpost of the Outer Hebrides and, more importantly, St Kilda, the most westerly point of the UK.
